Meet Kaylene

I am double-degreed with a BS in Business Marketing and a BFA (Valedictorian) in Interactive Media and Graphic Design. After career rotations in sales and advertising, I went on to start my own brand consulting and design service, which I ran for nearly ten years.

Seeking a new challenge, I joined an industry-leading human centered design team inside UnitedHealthcare where I expanded my skills and immersed myself in learning healthcare alongside the best and brightest. For nearly a decade, I’ve continued my growth journey through expanded responsibilities and scopes of work. In collaboration with my cross-matrix partners inside UHG, I’ve had the privilege of identifying, developing and testing solutions built to deliver business growth and improve the human health experience.

My approach—no matter the challenge—is learn first. I practice discipline in understanding users and propose solutions through a strong opinion, weakly held mental model. I deliver results by challenging orthodoxies and acting as a student of systems to develop experiences intentionally architected to deliver user value while meeting business objectives.
